Hey! I'm Alex, a 4th year Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo. Most recently, I worked on the nController team at Nuvation, building tools to manage battery systems.
I also lead WATcloud, a student-run compute infrastructure service. I recently wrote about how we run GitHub Actions on Slurm.
Outside of tech, I'm a captain of Waterloo's Varsity Swim Team where I spend two hours per day staring at a line on the bottom of the pool.
Right now, I'm interested in infrastructure, backend systems, LLMs, and anything that makes data more actionable. Always open to new ideas and collaborations!
